According to a report from the American news agency Bloomberg, discussions about a second season of Wednesday started shortly after the debut of the first season on the streaming service. The new season is currently in production, and there are plans for a spinoff show featuring Uncle Fester.
Uncle Fester, portrayed by Fred Armisen, received a warm reception from fans in the first season for his quirky and unique character. Ortega explained, "We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more.
