Millie Bobby Brown captivated audiences with her stellar performance in "Enola Holmes 2," which made its Netflix debut on November 4, 2022. However, the lingering question on fans' minds is whether there's a possibility of an "Enola Holmes 3." Recent reports from Collider, dated November 7, suggest that the odds are favorable, as a screenplay for the third installment is currently in development.

The news was unveiled in an interview with Scott Stuber, the head of Netflix Film, who not only commended Brown's acting prowess but also hinted at the prospect of a third Enola Holmes movie. Stuber expressed Netflix's enthusiasm for extending the Holmes intellectual property (IP) and emphasized the elasticity of the franchise.

He mentioned ongoing efforts to craft a screenplay, stating, We're working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I'd like to do another one.

Based on Nancy Springer's "The Enola Holmes Mysteries" series, consisting of seven books published between 2007 and 2021, the first two films drew inspiration from the initial installments. With the abundance of source material, the potential for future adaptations appears promising, and Brown herself expressed eagerness for more challenges in the role of Enola.

In a November 2022 interview with ScreenRant, Brown conveyed her interest in reprising the character, stating, "I would love to be a part of another one." She shared her desire to see Enola tackle additional cases, face pressure, and navigate unpredictable scenarios, expressing her love for seeing the character back in action.

While the prospect of "Enola Holmes 3" is promising, the return of Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes remains shrouded in mystery. Cavill, who portrayed Enola's older brother, recently announced his departure from the lead role in Netflix's "The Witcher" after the release of its third season in June 2023. The implications of this departure on Cavill's involvement in future Netflix projects, including potential Enola Holmes films, remain unclear. Given that "The Witcher" opted for a replacement with Liam Hemsworth, there is speculation about whether Netflix might consider recasting Cavill if needed for the Enola Holmes series.

Although the official green light for "Enola Holmes 3" is still pending, the prevailing optimism suggests that fans may receive confirmation of the film's development in the near future.
